The church give young families the ability to focus on sermons without having to wrestle with young children.  We need workers for 10 - 11 AM and 11 - 12 AM services.  Nursery teams can be made up of 2 adults OR 1 adult and 1 child old enough to assist the adult in any childcare related tasks.

If you are a talented singer, the Worship Team may be for you.  All Worship Team members must be talented, humble, punctual, and seek to bring God the glory in all performances.  Members must be able to commit to attending all Wednesday night practices and Sunday morning worship services.

Worship Team A/V engineers run the sound board, lighting, and other media during Worship services.  These individuals should be creative, savvy with technology, focused. Running the A/V systems for a sermon can be less daunting than for the Worship team.  No weekly practices are required.  These individual should be savvy with technology, focused, punctual, and willing to serve either or both Sunday morning services.  Individuals should be able assist with displaying visual aids for sermons, running the Facebook Live stream, and controlling the audio for the pulpit mic and audio/video for recorded songs & videos.

Running the A/V systems for a class can be less daunting than for the Worship team.  No weekly practices are required.  These individual should be savvy with technology, focused, and punctual.  Individuals should be able assist with displaying visual aids for classes, running the Facebook Live stream, and controlling the audio for the teacher's mic and audio/video for recorded songs & videos.

A/V engineers are often needed for special events, such as funerals, banquets, weddings, etc.  Some special events only need engineers for speakers or prerecorded media, but other events may require someone who is experienced in running A/V systems for live musical performances.  This is an "as needed" position, but some rehearsals may be required.

Sidney Baptist is growing their online footprint.  If you are interested in growing and using your creative, technical, and organizational skills to help bring people to Christ using online media, then the tech team may be for you.  Individuals don't need to be IT experts; The only skills needed are being comfortable using a computer and a willingness to learn.  This opportunity would be great for teens and young adults.

Everyone who wants to attend church should have a way to get there.  We need drivers willing to pick up/drop off individuals for church on Sunday morning.

Great cooks and meal coordinators are always needed.  The church hosts several events like funerals, pot lucks, and luncheons.  These individuals should have good cooking, planning, cleaning, and organizational skills to plan the menu, delegate responsibilities, ensure tables are set up, adequate dinnerware is available, and ensuring clean up is taken care of.

Whether you are skilled with facility equipment like HVAC, comfortable on a ladder, an experienced contractor, a gardener, or just a teachable person with a solid work ethic, volunteering to maintain the church grounds and building may be a fit for you.  This is an as needed position and there may be a few days a year for regularly scheduled maintenance.
